Nostalgia, Teachers day

Thaaankyooo Teeeecher

Kya aapko yaad hai wo waqt jab hum chote the aur teacher ko ek sur mein good morning kehte the? Phir jab techer sit down kehti to sab phir ek sur mein thaaankyooo teeeecher bolte the. Pata nahin kyon is tarah sur mein kyon good morning aur thank you bola jaata tha. Ab ka to nahin pata lekin humaare zamaane mein to hota tha aisa kai jagah maslan humaare school mein.

Kya aap bhi isi tarah gaa gaa ke good morning bolte the?๐Ÿ—ฃ๐Ÿ—ฃ

Aaj ka ya post teachers ki nazar hai. It is dedicated to our dear teachers jinhon mehnat mushaqqat kari ke humaare nanhe nanhe bhejon mein koi kaam ki baat ghus jaae.

Pichla post nihaayat hi fuzool ya fazool tareen post tha. Likh rahe the ye post aur achaanak kuch aur post kar diya. Na sar na pair bus ek dam se ek ajeeb sa post. Hota hai kabhi kabhi aisa. Ab aisa to ho nahin sakta ke har waqt sab acha hi ho. Sab hum acha hi likhenge to phir kharab kaun likhenga ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜„. Kabhi kabhi kharab kaam ya failure insaan ko apne andar jhaankne ja mauqa deta hai. It makes you think over ke kahan kya ghalti hui. Phir insaan jaldi wo ghalti dohraata nahin hain ya wohi ghalti karne ke chances kam hote hain.

Baharhaal kuch dinon pehle humaare bachon ke school mein teachers day celebrate kiya gaya tha. Aur kuch din humen lag rahe hain lekin is baat ko ek maheena guzar chuka. To socha teacher day ke baare mein kuch likha jaae.

Dedicating this post to all my teachers and teachers all around the world, the ones my shape, mould and guide us.

It is all known, he who teaches is a teacher. The most respected and dignified profession in the world is teaching. Teachers are the architect of a nation. A teacher is a man of obedience and respect. Teachers can very easily decide what they want the nation to look like and educate the masses accordingly. They have the ability and the strength to fight the odds and make the nation powerful. They are the people behind the worldโ€™s development. Imam Ghazali used to say โ€œTeachers are not kings but they know how to make kings.โ€ Itโ€™s only a teacher who can transform a simple boy into the likes of Pluto, Aristotle, Einstein, Wordsworth and many more.

Teachers ka bachon ki zindagi aur shakhsiyat par bohot gehra asar hota hai aur kuch nahi to unki baaten dil o dimaagh mein zehn-nasheen ho jaati hain.

Post jahan likhna shuru hua nahin ke ek ek kar ke teachers ke tamaam dialogues yaad aa gae.

School aur college chod kar zamaane hue lekin teachers ki kahi hui baaten unke dialogues aaj bhi yaad hain. I would to love the share them with you. Tab to sun kar ghussa bhi aaya tha lekin ab hansi aati hai yaad kar ke.

Sab se best to college mein English literature ki teacher waala tha jab students koi bataaya hua kaam submit nahin karte the.

โ€œIf you donโ€™t this itโ€™s your funeralโ€ ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜†. Shaayad hi kisi ne aisa dialogue suna hoga.

Tenth standard board exams se pehle last clas thi aur science teacher bachon ko instructions de rahi thi to kaha โ€œstudy well and donโ€™t search for words in your pockets and on the wallsโ€.

Ek daur tha jab autograph books hoti theen school students ke paas. Humne bhi apni ek autograph book mein kuch teachers se autograph liya tha. I feel so happy and proud to have it with me. Itโ€™s a part of the precious memories I have gathered over the years.

Ek autograph mein teacher mein ye do quotes likhi theen wo mila to nahin lekin yaad hai zubaani.

โ€œWords and eggs should be handled with care for words once spoken and eggs once broken are the hardest things to repairโ€

โ€œA slip of foot may soon recover but a slip of tongue may never get overโ€

Jab teachers class mein kuch kehti theen tab zara bhi ehsaas nahin tha ke ye sab baaten umr bhar yaad rahengi.

Kuch teachers ki kadwi baaten bhi yaad hain lekin unka zikr kar ke ispost ka maza kirkira nahin karna chaahte speacially a few insulting words spoken by one of the teachers of my children ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜’. I wouldnโ€™t like to name anyone nor say a word lekin ye sadi hui shakal to ban hi jaati hai wo baat yaad kar ke aur shadeed ghussa bhi aata hai. Maana ke teachers ko poora haq hai daantne ka lekin kisi ki bache ya parent ki insult karne ka bilkul bhi ikhtiyaar nahin hai.

Shayad ye teachers ka asar hai ek bache ki zaat par. Unhen pata nahin is baat ka ehsaas hota hai ya nahin lekin unki kahi hui baaten dil par likh jaati hain chaahen wo achi hon ya buri whether it is a good advice, shouting at student or insulting him or her the child never forgets.

Teachers ko is ehsaas hona chaahiye ke unki kahi hui baat ek taalib-e-ilm (student) ki shakhsiyat par bohot asar rakhti hai.Teacher banna koi aasaan kaam nahin hai. Yun to logon ki nazar mein iski shayad ki value ho but he teachers are the ones who mould and shape the future of the child. One good advice given by a teacher can change a students life provided the student takes it seriously.

According to Enamul Hoque Chowdhury religious teacher at Core Care & coordinator of Mentor English Language Institute, Kushtia, teachers are the first brick in the structure of social development and the cause of guiding and developing behaviours and mentalities of individuals and communities towards the goals.

Teaching ko aksar log na jaane kyon koi value hi nahin karta. Yun to lagta hai kya bus padhaana hi to hai. Dekhne mein bada aasaan kaam lagta hain magar aasaan hai nahin. Koi hum se kahe ke 5-10 bache kuch der ke liye sambhaalo wo to hum se kiya nahin jaaega to zara sochiye teachers kis tarah itne saare bache na sirf sambhaalti hain magar unhen padhaana likhaana samjhaana sab karti hain. Sab se zyaada mushkil to preprimary aur primary classes ke bachon se deal karne mein hoti hai jinhen kuch bhi samajh nahin aata na apni koi baat wo keh paate hain na samjha paate hain teacher ko.

B.A ke dauran humari Philosophy teacher bachon ko class mein attention na dene ki wajah se aur attendance poora na hone ki wajah se keh rahi the ke hum to grown up adults hain kuch padhna mushkil nahin hai is umr mein, is umr mein to sirf zara sa ghaur karne se hi sab samjha aa jaata hai. Sirf dhyaan dene ki zaroorat hai. Muskhil to ABC seekhne waale nursery aur Kg ke bachon ko hoti hai jinhen kuch bhi aata hi nahin hai. Unho ne kaha unhen padhaana bohot hi challenging kaam hota hai kyon awwal to unhen samajh nahin aata kuch doosre ye ke unka attention span bohot kam hota hai. Unhen padhaana sab se mushkil hota. Students nanhe nanhe hote hain yahan wahan daudte bhaagte hain class mein, shor machaate hain, rote hain, ulti, potty etc etc sab kar kar ke teacher ki naak mein dam kar dete hain aur in sab ke saath saath unhen padhaana. Hats off to teachers. Bade hote hain to alag tarah ki sharaaraten hoti haun unki.

Khair kisi bhi umr ke bachon ko padhaana aaasan nahin hai. Teacher sirf koshish kar sakti hai students hi naalayaq bane to bechaari ya bechaare teacher kya karen. Wo sirf padha hi sakti hain.

Aaj kal bache teachers ki izzat hi nahin karte aur bache kya karenge kab unke walidaen hi nahin karte. Ye to walidaen ki zimmedari hai ke unhen ehsaas dilaaen ke ek ustaad ki ehmiyat kya hai. Walidaen ko sikhaana chaahiye ke unki izzat-o-ikraam karen.

Today I take this opportunity to thank all my teachers each and everyone of of them and everyone. Aur shukriya har us shakhs ka jis se humne koi bhi sabaq seekha chaahen wo chota ho ya bada.

A sincere and heartfelt thanks to my father and mother who have taught me the most important lessons of life. Jinhon ne zindagi jeene ke usool bataye aur sahi raah dikhaai aur hum se belaus mohobbat di. Allah Taala unhen sehat aur aafiyat waali lambi umr de.

Daddy hamesha ek quote dohraate hain aur is quote to madde nazar rakhen to zindagi ki koi mushkil mushkil nahin lagegi aur chaahen haalaat kitne hi kyon na kharab hon there will be something you can be thankful for.

“I cried for shoes until I saw a man who had no feet”.

Aur ek sher sunaaya tha kuch arse pehle jiska kuch hissa humen yaad nahin.

Kuch log tamaasha-o-zar-o-maal mein khush hain

Khush hain wohi lekin jo har haal mein khush hain.

In do baaton ke chand lafzon mein zindagi mein khush rehne ka raaz chupa hai.

Ammi ke ehsaanmand hain ke unhon ne khana pakaana sikha diya. Bohot aala to nahin pakaa paate magar guzaare bhar ke liye kaafi hai.

Wo urdu books waghaira padhti theen especially Akhbaar-e-jahan aur unhi ki badaulat urdu padhna aai hai. Ammi us mein se kuch na kuch padh kar sunaati theen aur hum bhi us mein maze maze ki kahaaniyon ke aur pyaare pyare bachon ke photos dekh dekh kar socha karte the ke humen bhi urdu padhna aa jaae. To ammi ne bataya ke tum sirf titles padha karo ye bold letters mein likhe hone ki wajah se padhne mein bohot aasaan lagte the. Yunhin titles read karte karte karte karte urdu padhna aa hi gai. Aur haan bhai aur aapa ki urdu calligraphy, wo bhi bamboo waala jo qalam hua karta tha jise khud haath se churi ya blade se sharp kar ke ink mein dip kar ke likha jaata tha, ye bhi ek wajah thi jis wajah se humen urdu aa gai urdu se mohobbat hogai. Bachpan mein unhen dekhte the to bohot zyada fascinating lagta tha wo ink mein dip kar ke likhna aur phir calligraphy to cheez hi aisi hai ke banda maail hojaata hai. Unki urdu bhi writing bhi badi khoobsurat thi.

As they say “The great teacher inspires” so have my father and brother been a great source of an inspiration for me. I have always admired their beautiful handwriting and imitated the way they write and I must admit that my writing is not even half as good as theirs.

Many thanks to my elder sisters jinhon ne na sirf humen likhna aur padhna sikhaya magar humara har tarah se khayal rakha. Aaj bhi yaad hai cursive writing practice karte the tab ek alphabet ka ek curve bhi sahi nahi hota tha ya alphabet proper line pe touch nahin hota tha to pitaai hoti thi.. Pitaai karne ka bohot bohot shukriya warna aisi writing na hoti jaisi hai. Iโ€™m one of those who strongly believe in the quote โ€œSpare the rod and spoil the childโ€. Haan pitaai ki kuch hudood honi chaahiye. Iโ€™m thankful that they didnโ€™t spare the rod.

Image credit: Binte Bashir via Canva

Thanks again to my sisters jinhen mehndi lagaate dekh dekh ke mehndi lagaane ka shauq hogaya. Itnaaa zyaada ke bachpan se har jagah har book ke khali page par aur har book ke kone mein yahan wahan bus floral doodle karte rehte the. Aur apni doosri badi behen ka beinteha shukriya jinhon ne kai baar humse apne haath kharab karwaae tab jab humen theek se mehndi lagaana aati nahin tab aur har phool, patti aur bel boote ko theek karwaya.

Last but not the least thanks a million from the depth of my heart to my islamic studies teacher, quran teacher at school and my mullani) for teaching me quran. Thank you is such a small word for what they have done for me. May Allah reward them with the best in the world and the hereafter for each and every letter they have taught me.

Mullani ka bhi ek dialogue yaad aagaya โ€œAankhen hain ya button dikhaai nahin deta zer hai ya zabarโ€. Jab daant padti thi to dar bhi lagta tha aur andar hi andar ye sun ke hansi bhi aati thi.

Ye dialogue to ab hum bhi istemaal karte hain. Waise to humari mullani kabhi maarti nahin theen lekin hum hi bohot slow aur itni ghaltiyen karte the ke humaare saath waale bache kahan se kahan pohonch jaate the aur humaara sabaq jaldi aage hi nahin badhta tha to bezaar hoke unhon ne gaal par ek thappad jad diya us ke baad jo raftar badli hai ke poocho mat. Us thappad ke nihaayat shukrguzaar hain hum. Unke thappad ne humaari aakhirat sanwaar di. Quran padhna to aagaya lekin sawab to jab milega jab use padhenge aur us par kuch amal bhi karenge.

Allah Taala mullani ko beshumaar ajar de quran padhaane ka kyon ke unhen ne sirf aur sirf Allah ki raza ke liye humen padhaaya, itne saare bache aate the padhne kisi se kisi tarah ki koi fees nahin leti theen balki jahan tak humen yaad hai kisi kisi ko ya sabko quran aur rehal bhi wo khud hi deti theen. Unka diye hue quran mein humari beti padhti hai .

Bus Allah Taala taufeeq de ke hum quran padhen, samjhen aur us par amal karen. Allah Taala hum sab ko apne ustaad aur walaidaen ke liye sadqa-e-jaria banaae.

Aakhirkaar badi mushkil se anjaam tak pohoncha hai. Pichle maheene se ye post tukdon niwaalon mein likha hai. Kabhi ek line kabhi do. Reh reh ke ek ek baat yaad aati gai aur is mein jodte chale gae. Sorry post kuch zaroorat se zyada bada lamba hogaya.

Yun to post teachers ke liye likhne ka iraada tha lekin likhte likhte bohot se log shaamil hogae. Jinka zikr kiya unka hazaarha shukriya aur jinke baare likh nahin paae ya unhen bhool gae unka bhi beinteha shukriya.

Kai log to ab bhi baaqi hain aur bohot si baaten aur bhi hain magar ye post already bohot zyada lamba ho chuka. Is liye ab ijaazat chaahte hain. I’m thankful to each and everyone jis se kuch seekhne ko mila. Seekhne sikhaane ka ye silsila ta-umr jaari rahe Aameen.

A note to those who celebrate fathers day, mothers day, friendship day, parents day, this day that day. Know that even though you may celebrate these days but make sure to respect and value them thoughout your lives not just once a year.

I hail from UP and I reside in Bombay with my loving family.

My father has always had this way of explaining things to us using quotations and shairis. It’s wonderful to hear him. He writes urdu poet and read to us whenever we sit down with him I keep myself ready with a paper and pen a read to note down his words.

Thanks for following and reading all my posts. It means so much.

      1. I am a loyal friend and my love remains unconditional. I love people more than good prose, poetry or pics ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿค— And I make friends for life. If someone leaves me I wish them well and let them go. On my own I never leave any friendship ๐Ÿ˜Š Therefore I shall keep reading and following Binte Bashir. It was the name which had first attracted my attention ๐Ÿ˜Š

We learned a lot from my fatherโ€™s shairy and quotes too but he used to recite Ghalib, Mir and Iqbal etc! I have recoded many of his beautiful words.

Are you still living with your father?

I lived in Mumbai for 19 years! Everyone told me that once we live in Mumbai we canโ€™t leave it. But I left it in 2015 though I still visit it often.

Yes my dear I shall be posting tomorrow morning- something very close to my heart ๐Ÿ’–

Stay blessed. Stay safe. Stay loved

      2. There are very few people who value people more anything else. Ab is zamaane mein aise log kam hain jinhen logon ki qadr ho. Glad to connect with you.

These are some wonderful poets Ghalib, Mir and Iqbal.

I donโ€™t live with my father. We do visit him during vacations.
Even though Bombay is a nice place thereโ€™s something in it such that I we canโ€™t leave it. Haan yaad zaroor aati hai lekin insaan jahan jaae kuch time mein uska lag hi jaata hai wahan.

        Will surely read your post.

      3. You know my friend, my wife and I were happy wherever we lived. And we lived in many cities and many houses. But I sincerely believe cities like Mumbai and Delhi arenโ€™t worth living in. Smaller towns are better. I love Pune( where I live now), Chandigarh, Hyderabad etc. And I believe now Surat, Bhopal and Indore have come up very well too.

In UP I know only Bareilly as my sister in law lives there.

Who knows I might have crossed you sometime in Mumbai or cross you someday and we wonโ€™t even know ๐Ÿ˜Š such is life …

        Much love and blessings ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿค—

I also have autograph books with words of wisdom. If am able to do anything creative or better it’s a blessing of my teachers.
Their encouragement and guidance is still showing me the way.

A good teacher always show you the right path and am really lucky to have few of them still showering their light on me.

Reading your post, I too got into this flashback of writing and giving off my autograph book to teachers and getting their quotes of wisdom.
It’s not been ages since then but I do wonder that today none of the kids do that I guess, if am not wrong. Don’t know but probably when my kid will start his school, would I better know. ๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Hey dear Samreen so nice to hear from you.
Bohot khushi mehsoos hui ke aapko ye post padh kar maza aaya.
I too go back in to flashbacks very often. Bus zara kuch dekhen ya sunen aur hum pohonch jaate hain alag hi duniya mein.

Gone are those days when teachers were valued and respected. Nobody really cares even to greet them and i feel its the duty of the parents to make them realize all that. Magar afsos aaj ye haal hai ke parents tak ye samjhte hain ke teachers ko kisi baat ka ikhtiyaar nahin hai. Har baat par institution se ladne ko taiyyar rehte hain. Jab bade hi aisi soch rakhenge to bachon ka kya hoga.

Well, its a pleasure to meet you. Thanks for stopping by. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ˜Š

Bada yaad aata hai sab kuch.
Ye to hai wese na ab utni shayad respect hai teachers k liye and to some extent you are right parents are responsible for it.
